Finding & Downloading Documents

There are a couple ways to efficiently find documents in the Resource Center, the global OR Nurse Link library for documents and file sharing.

Resource Center in Main Navigation

Please note that only AORN Members have access to downloading and uploading documents in the Resource Center.

Using Document Categories
The Resource Center is broken out into eleven different topics: AORN Business, Ambulatory, Aseptic/Sterilization/Disinfection, Career Resources, Education/Staff Development, Equipment/Instruments/Product Safety, IT/Informatics, Management, Patient & Worker Safety, Patient Care, and Regulatory/Legal Issues.

After each topic's name, there is a number in parentheses that lets you know how many documents are in each category.

Resource Center categories

Use the plus box next to the category name to expand the category, and you will see all of the documents that have been uploaded by members to that category.

Downloading Documents & Files
To download one of the documents, click on the hyperlinked name of document, and it will be downloaded to your computer and opened by the appropriate program, or it will opened in a new browser window, depending on the file type (image files, for example).

Downloading a document

To download a document or file to your computer without opening it in an application, right click on the file's title link and then choose Save Target As or Save Link As, depending on your browser.
