We're pleased to announce that as of July 1, 2010 AORN Members can now join unlimited Specialty Assemblies for free.
As a member of AORN, you have access to Specialty Assemblies -- formal communities that facilitate national networking for those interested in a subspecialty or interest area. Each of our 23 Specialty Assemblies has its own discussion group on ORNurseLink.In the past, membership to only one Specialty Assembly was included in your AORN dues.
But as of July 1, 2010, you can now become a member of as many of the 23 Specialty Assemblies as you'd like, at no additional cost.Join Specialty Assembly GroupsTo add Specialty Assemblies to your profile, you'll need to visit the MyAORN page on AORN.org. (If you're prompted to login at AORN.org, sign in with your AORN username and password.)Check the boxes of the Specialty Assemblies you'd like to join. If you'd like to join all, choose the orange Check All button in the lower left-hand corner of page.After you choose your Specialty Assemblies, click the orange Save button in the lower right-hand corner of the box. A pop-up box will appear confirming that you've changed your specialties.Please allow for 24 hours after adding the new specialties to gain access to their groups on ORNurseLink.
Leave Specialty Assembly Groups To remove Specialty Assemblies from your profile, you'll need to visit the MyAORN page on AORN.org. (If you're prompted to login at AORN.org, sign in with your AORN username and password.)Uncheck the boxes of the Specialty Assemblies you'd like to leave.Click the orange Save button in the lower right-hand corner of the box.
