Delete Email 

You can delete messages from your Inbox by selecting the check box next to the message you want to delete and clicking on the Delete button.

Once deleted, your message will be moved to the Trash folder.

To permanently delete the message, you'll need to empty your trash. Click on Trash and select the check box next to the message you want to permanently trash. Click Delete.

Restoring Deleted Messages
You can restore messages that you've sent to your Trash by clicking on Trash then selecting the check box next to the message you want to undelete. Click Restore. The message will be moved to your Inbox.

Update!
As of Sept 3, 2011, a new deletion policy was put into place. Inbox, Sent and Trash are being deleted after a set amount of time to increase messaging speed and decrease clutter. The timeframes are as follows:

- 30 days after being sent, a message will disappear from the “Sent Items” folder
- 90 days after being received, Inbox and Deleted items will disappear from those boxes
