Sending Email to Colleagues (with Attachments)1) On the left side, under My Network, click on “My Inbox.” 2) Click on Compose New Message.3) Put your cursor in the “To” box and begin typing the name(s) of the people that you would like to send your message to. As you type, the pull-down menu will populate with the members whose names contain the letters you've typed. Please note that it may take a few seconds for the menu to appear with a list of names.
If no names appear in the list and you've typed in both a first and last name together, try using just a first name or just their last name -- sometimes using less information will yield more results.
Click on the name you'd like add, and their name will now appear in the To field. Repeat for additional recipients.4) Type in your subject line and message. When you are done, it’s time to attach your document by hitting the Browse button. (Note: If you don’t need to attach a document, simply hit Send Message)5) Clicking on the browse button will open a search box for documents on your computer. Once you find it, click on it and it will appear in the “File Name” bar at the bottom. When you have selected the document that you want, click the “Open” button. After you click “Open” that box will disappear.6) You will now be back on the Compose Message screen and the browse bar will be filled with the document that you just chose.7) When you are all done with your message, click the send button. A message will appear after the message was successfully sent.8) After the message appears, you will automatically be in your inbox. To confirm that your message sent, click on the “Sent Items” tab.Note: Whenever you send a message through your ORNurseLink inbox, the recipient will receive an alert to their external email that they have message in their Inbox.
At no time are external email addresses revealed to anyone in the community.Contacting Members from Profiles You can also contact members by clicking Contact anywhere their profile is found on the site.
The Contact link is found on a member's profile and also in the bubble that will pop up if you hover over a member's name on the site.After you click Contact, the Send a Message pop-up box will appear and you can compose your message.Issues with Composing New MessagesIf you use Internet Explorer 6 to access OR Nurse Link, there are compatibility issues with this older browser, and you may experience a strange page layout when you're trying to compose a new message.
