Laparoscopic Vaginal Hysterectomy Counts

LAVH case with multiple back tables and draped mayos. Items are divided by "clean" and "dirty" for different parts of the case. I'd be very grateful for any feedback regarding the counts in a case like this, specifically how to progress through the soft count with items when the scrub will not handle them, and they're not organized in a such a way that makes them easily visible and able to be accurately counted.

At our institution, we keep the vaginal supplies (dirty) on the back table and the abdominal(clean supplies) on an extra large mayo. We have preprinted count sheets for the sets and our SPD arranges then in the same order that they appear on the count sheets.  The scrub person organizes the instruments in a manor that they are visible to themselves and the circulator assisting in the count.  We also keep extra top gloves available to change if we need to touch something from the “dirty” area.. such as when doing instrument counts.
